Mirandês Donkey
The Donkey Milk used by our brand is native to a valley called, Vale do Sorraia in Portugal, where the animals live in harmony with nature – more than 95% of this breed is found in Portugal and known as Mirandês Donkeys or ‘’Burro Mirandês’’ as said in Portuguese – which unfortunately is finding itself endangered. With our cosmetic production, we support the revitalization of these donkeys, which after serving as farm animals for agriculture for centuries and now-a-days having found no use for them, hence the fact that they are in danger of extinction, we have now found a new role for them: to produce a rare product – their milk.

Our soaps are plant based and contain at least 30% of Donkey Milk, which grants them a unique soft feeling and a creamy texture. Thanks to its high percentage of this amazing ingredient, besides cleansing your skin, it also promotes anti-ageing, against wrinkles and sagging of the skin. Resulting in a soft, healthy and glowing skin.
Our MITYS soaps are available in six different fragrances : Roses, Basil & Mint, Oats & Honey, Honeysuckle, Ginger and Lavender. They are hand cut and wrapped manually one by one, into a hand printed fabric with patterns inspired in the Portuguese azulejos (tiles).
